Greece Tour

Day 1

Depart your domestic airport for our flight to Greece.

Day 2

Arrive in Athens with a direct connection to Thessaloniki. Transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

We will have a full day tour of Kavala, Philippi and Amphipolis. We will drive through the mountains of Hortiatis and the lake country of Asprovalta. Near here is the place where Lydia was baptized. We will see the prison where the Apostle Paul was held and preached in 50 A.D. There will be time for shopping in the afternoon. We will see the ancient Roman aqueduct and the Port of Kavala. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4

In the morning we will tour the city of Viera, then tranfer to the airport for our flight from Thessaloniki to the city of Athens. We will transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

We will tour the city of Athens. Starting with a visit to the Acropolis. We will see the ruins on the hill as we visit Mars Hill from where Paul preached to the Athenians. We will visit the National Archeological Museum. If the renovations of parts of the museum don't allow us to visit, we will proceed onto Cape Sounion for the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6

A full day excursion to Kenchraee and Ancient Corinth. Corinth is one of Greece's most important ancient cities. It is situated in the southern portion of Greece, known as the Peloponese. Our drive will take us along the seaside highway past the Scaramanga ship building yards dating back to 50 A.D. The visit to Ancient Corinth will include visiting the Corinth Canal. This man-made canal was built on the same location that the ancient mariners dragged their ships across to void the lengthy trip around the Peloponese. We will see the Temple of Apollo and if time permits, visit the interesting Byzantine monastery of Dafni. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Full day excursion to Delphi in "Sterea Ellada" (Central Greece); Northeast Attica and Athens. This is a mountainous region with breath taking scenery. Drive along the national highway past Thebes, levadia and the typical village of Arachova. Here we will see traditional flavors and picturesque house. Then on to Delphi, one of the most popular places to visit in Greece. Remains of the Temple of Apollo, the Gymnasium, the Treasury and the Arcades can be found there. Here we will see the museum of the famous "Charioteer Statue." You will enjoy a typical 4 course lunch in Delphi. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8

Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to port for the cruise to the nearby Saronic Islands. We will visit Aegina, Poros and Hydra . . . plenty of time to shop and take a look at the wonders of the Greek Isles. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 9

Breakfast at hotel with full day free for shopping and to visit some of the sights missed. (Optional tours will be offered.) Dinner and overnight.

Day 10

Breakfast at hotel with transfers to airport for flight home.
